Staying Focused - Giving your all to the end

With many things in life, you have days where think you just don't have anything more to give. You have been working on steadily for weeks. You get ready the same as the day before to do the workout you have scheduled as always.

But today seems different to you. You're body has other plans, so to speak. But you can't give into those demands. You have to tell your body "No". We do not compromise the workout. We don't give in to thinking it's not important.

We accomplish our goals by pushing through the most insurmountable obstacles. Even if it's an obstacle of our own creation. I decided to be healthier and fit. I have committed to a better lifestyle. I have successfully made my body better. I have a Turbo Fire and Insanity to get done today.

Back through the Insanity while burning in the Turbo Fire

I finished the Shaun T's Insanity workout on May 10, 2011. I had no intentions of doing this workout but I really needed something to help me with getting in shape. I started Chalene Johnson's Turbo Fire on May 1, 2011 and taken it to another level. For 10 days I was doing doubles with both workouts. But my biggest regret after finishing Insanity was not tracking my measurements or logging my first fit test results. This prevented me from try to get an Insanity T-shirt which I felt I earned.

I had some really great results with Insanity. I was 225 lbs when I decided to even start working out. I had lost some weight on my own but I was plateauing more than I could tolerate. When my husband received Insanity, I made up my mind right then. I needed to do this workout. It was tough but I had to "Dig Deeper" as Shaun T stressed in each workout. I lost around 30 lbs with Insanity.

I kept having a feeling that I still had unfinished business with my last completed workout. On May 21, 2011, I started Insanity for the second time to do as doubles with Turbo Fire. These are the results from my first fit test:

  • Switch Kicks - 106
  • Power Jacks - 60
  • Power Knees - 112
  • Power Jumps - 67
  • Globe Jumps - 12
  • Suicide Jumps - 16
  • Push-up Jacks - 30
  • Low Plank Obliques - 116
I want to try for even better results on my fit test coming up this next week. I'm hoping I will get the results I want and finally get my Insanity T-Shirt.  We will see in 60 days.
